From time to time, I enjoy working in pencil and pastel (both soft pastels, and oil pastels). Unfortunately soft pastels generate a good deal of dust which seems to settle over everything. Pencil, on the other hand, has the drawback of being almost too flexible and forgiving; it's quite easy to fix one's mistakes...
